3. Can DevCheck detect fake specifications?

Yes, DevCheck is a powerful tool to ensure the authenticity of your device’s specifications. DevCheck provides comprehensive information about your device’s hardware and software. You can use this data to verify the specifications by comparing the provided information with official specifications from the manufacturer or by running diagnostic tests.

4. DevCheck shows the wrong SOC or device brand name. Can it be trusted?

Most of the information shown by DevCheck comes directly from the device, providing an accurate reflection of its genuine hardware specifications. However, the device’s brand name and the processor’s marketing name are usually not available from the device itself, and must be matched with information from a database. This may result in discrepancies due to incorrect firmware data, regional hardware variations, device or chip rebranding, and sometimes just not enough detail to determine the exact model. 5. Can DevCheck help me diagnose performance issues?

Yes, DevCheck can help you identify performance bottlenecks by providing detailed information about your device’s CPU, GPU, and RAM usage. You can also monitor battery health and temperature, which can affect your device’s performance.

6. Why can’t I see any temperatures?

Temperatures are automatically displayed in DevCheck if the app has access to the necessary sensors. However, selinux restrictions prevent third-party apps from accessing temperature sensors on most devices. If no temperatures are displayed, root access is required to display temperatures.

7. Is DevCheck free to use?

Yes, DevCheck is free to download and use. All system and hardware information is free with no ads. Extras like tests, tools, widgets and battery monitor are available DevCheck Pro, which requires in-app purchase.

8. Do I need to buy DevCheck Pro separately on all my devices?

No, DevCheck Pro is a one-time purchase linked to your Google account. Once purchased, DevCheck Pro can be accessed on any device where you’re signed in to the Google Play Store.

9. Why are three prices shown when I try to purchase DevCheck?

All three price options provide complete access to DevCheck Pro’s features. The choice of price is entirely up to you.

10. Is DevCheck available on other platforms?

Currently, DevCheck is only available on Android devices. We don’t have plans for versions on other platforms at this time.

However, root access will provide more detailed information such as CPU load, temperatures, GPU frequencies and memory usage by app. If your device is rooted, tap on the menu at upper right and select “Root access” and DevCheck will ask for root privileges.

17. Can DevCheck help me benchmark my device’s performance?
